Handmade Athame Knives and Damascus Daggers
Every athame and dagger in this collection is hand-forged in Damascus steel by our own smiths in Wazirabad, Pakistan, then inspected and shipped from our fulfillment center in Texas. The layered pattern is different on every blade, so the piece you receive is one of a kind.
What is an athame?
An athame is a double-edged ceremonial blade used in Wicca and other modern pagan traditions. It is traditionally kept for ritual work, such as casting a circle, rather than for everyday cutting. Our athames are finished to suit that role, with gold-toned guards and a deep central fuller.
- 9-inch athame: emerald and black marbled resin with a gold-toned guard and sheath.
- 12-inch athame: a 7-inch double-edged blade with a natural wood handle, brass bolster and gold-toned guard.
Damascus daggers
- 8-inch EDC daggers: slim spear-point blades with resin handles in pearl blue, pearl black, pearl white, pearl purple, green and pearl fire, each with a mosaic pin, lanyard hole and leather sheath.
- 9-inch dagger: a bone and resin handle with brass pins and a fitted leather sheath.
- 12-inch double-edge dagger: a broad 7-inch blade, textured metal grip and full guard, a true display piece.
Shipping is free on all US orders, and most orders arrive in 3–5 business days.
Athame and Dagger FAQ
Can I use an athame for everyday cutting?
Traditionally the athame is kept for ceremony only. For daily cutting, choose one of our EDC daggers or a knife from Hunting & Bushcraft Knives.
How do I care for a Damascus dagger?
Wipe it dry, oil the blade now and then, and store it out of the leather sheath for long periods, because leather holds moisture. Our knife care guide covers the rest.
Can I carry a dagger?
Many states and cities limit carrying double-edged blades, so please check your local rules. You must be 18 or older to order.
Do you make custom athames?
Yes. Tell us the blade length, steel and handle you want on our custom orders page.
